The Manifesto

The demands. Non-negotiable.

No coalitions, no clauses, no rollouts over three decades. Read each demand and tell us where you stand — every vote is anonymous and counted live.

01

Accountability for vanishing votes

Every deleted or missing vote must be investigated and answered for.

A vote that quietly disappears is a citizen quietly erased. We demand that any tampering with the rolls carry real, named consequences — not a clerical shrug.

02

Half the house for half the population

Fifty percent reservation for women in the legislature and the cabinet.

Half the population deserves half the seats — in the room where decisions are actually made. Not a committee to study it, not a rollout over three decades. Now.

03

An independent press, actually

Break the billionaire grip on the news so headlines stop reading like ads.

A free press cannot be owned by the people it is meant to question. Break the monopoly, fund the newsroom, and let a headline be a headline again.

04

No reward seats after the bench

Retiring judges should get a quiet life, not a nominated seat.

Justice should retire into gardening, not into the upper house. A judgement must never come with a coupon redeemable later.

05

Twenty years out for defectors

Sell the mandate you were elected on and you sit out two decades.

You were elected on a promise. Auctioning that promise to the highest bidder is fraud against the voter — and it should cost you twenty years of elections.

Manifesto FAQ

About the five demands.

What does the Cockroach Janta Party stand for?+

A satirical civic-activism movement organised around five non-negotiable demands — vote integrity, equal women's representation, an independent press, no reward seats for retiring judges, and a 20-year ban on defectors.

Why does the manifesto have only five demands?+

Five hard demands are harder to dilute than fifty soft promises. The list is deliberately short so that none of it can be quietly forgotten.

Can I add my own demand to the manifesto?+

No. The manifesto is non-negotiable and curated by the team. You can submit issues privately via the Issues form — strong issues become campaigns, and campaigns push the demands.

How is support for each demand measured?+

Every demand has an anonymous yes/no poll. Counts are public, live and free to view. No account, no profile, no trace.

Are the demands legally binding?+

No. The Cockroach Janta Party is a work of political satire and not a registered political party. The manifesto is a public petition of intent, not a legislative bill.

Are the demands listed in priority order?+

They are numbered for stable reference, not priority. Every demand is treated as equally non-negotiable.

Will the manifesto ever change?+

A demand may retire once it has been answered. New demands are added rarely, and only after overwhelming public weight on a related issue.

Does voting cost me anything or expose my identity?+

Voting is free and anonymous. There is no login, no registration, no email. The site stores no personal data tied to your vote.

How does the manifesto turn into action?+

When an issue from the public board gathers enough weight, it becomes a movement. The movement campaigns publicly — share, back, push — until the demand it ties to is answered.

Is the Cockroach Janta Party affiliated with any real party?+

No. It is independent satire. Not affiliated with any registered party, politician, business or NGO.
